Thangjing rice is one of the highly consumed indigenous rice varieties in Manipur owing to its unique taste. Its demand is evidently increasing and is found abundantly. The size of the grain is narrow and long. Glutinous in nature when cooked.
Harvested before 2022 and aged for more than a year, this rice(Ariba) has less moisture content, so it has higher volume expansion, enhanced flavour, and a firmer texture.
